Welcome to SJUS Football Academy
SJUS is delighted to announce that it's football academy is now entering it’s second season. The academy opened it's doors to it's first intake of students in the academic year 2018/2019. This year’s intake will join our 2nd year students for both football coaching and formal education at Portway Lifestyle Centre. Open to male and female football enthusiasts aged 16 to 18 years, our full time BTEC Diploma in Sport programme will combine formal education and professional football coaching. The programme will provide students with the underpinning knowledge and practical experience needed to pursue a career within the professional football arena. After successful completion of the programme students will have gained the required qualifications to move on to a higher education degree programme. Academic taught classes and football training sessions will be held at Portway Lifestyle Centre, Oldbury.
The BTEC based education programme is delivered by our partners SCL, an approved BTEC centre. Simon Johnson Universal Soccer will deliver the football training.

SJUS is much more than a football skills coaching academy. Our unique holistic coaching concept is not just about teaching techniques and tactics. We recognise that in order to achieve optimum performance levels the whole person and their entire lifestyle must maintain a healthy state of equilibrium. Therefore the physical, psychological, spiritual and emotional development of our players are all given consideration.
